Did you ever break up over the decision to have kids, someone changed their mind, and you got back together?

For context, my ex and I are both women.

Without getting too in the weeds of my own stuff: my ex and I broke up a few months ago after 2.5 years together. There were multiple factors, don’t get me wrong, but one was her strongly wanting to have kids and me being less sure. I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching since our breakup and have found myself really drawn to having children when I sit with it now. I want to reach out to her with my revelations but I also want to make sure I 100% mean it before putting either one of us in a position to be let down or hurt again.

Have you ever been in a relationship like this? Where your partner wanted kids so you broke up but then you changed your mind and went back? Did it all work out or was it a disaster? If you did this and had kids, how is your life now?
