LSIL/CIN 1 but HPV negative

Hi all,

I had my first pap done at 25 (32 now) and that was normal. With a lot of hubbub with moving, I didn't have my next one until last year, which came back ASC-US, hrHPV-neg.

Gyno recommended a repeat pap this year, which came back LSIL, hrHPV-neg. Since it was negative for HPV, she said this wasn't the usual presentation, so scheduled for a colposcopy.

Had a colposcopy earlier this week with three biopsies and an ecc taken. Results came through this morning; one biopsy was LSIL CIN 1, the other two biopsies and ecc were negative for dysplasia.

I had the HPV vaccine as a teenager before becoming sexually active. I'll admit I may not have always practiced safe sex in my wild early 20s, but my HPV test has come back negative every time.

Naturally freaking out a little bit, because anything I've seen online is only talking about what the situation is when you've had a HPV+ result too, so I'm not sure where it leaves me.
