Hi! Lisa here, editor of The Get, Neo's newsletter.

We published an article in the spring about how a journalist [negotiated over $2,000 off her telecom package bills](https://www.neofinancial.com/the-get/how-to-negotiate-cheaper-bills-canada). We got some great feedback on that and it was one of the top-read articles for a few months (we keep coming out with new ones each week!). But one reader shared that they couldn’t pull the ol’ “That’s it! I’m leaving and taking my business to competitor X” strategy. Up for the challenge, I assigned the story for small-town customers (or for anyone who feels they don’t have leverage to negotiate. That's the Top Story this week. But there’s more for newcomers, students, retirees and, yes, redditors.
