Recovery Timeline Question

Hi All,

My hysterectomy is scheduled for 10/13 and I am equal parts excited - to finally relieve myself from 5+ years of pain and suffering - and terrified... this sub has been amazing with thoughts, guidance, advice, must-haves, etc... but you also see some horror stories. I know everyone, every body, and everyone's surgical procedure is different; but, I'm looking for your thoughts/opinions (and promise I won't hate you if they turn out to be wrong haha).

My husbands parents are coming to stay with us October 6-November 6 to help during recovery (as he works full-time and hour away and we have a 2 year old). The last weekend they are here is Halloween - I'm pretty sure, based on what I've read here, that walking around for hours trick-or-treating is not going to be a thing for me... so, my husband suggested that he and I go away for the weekend while we have the help, and celebrate my new lease on life, my birthday (which will be during recovery), and our anniversary, which is Nov. 13. He planned to book a weekend at the casino including a spa day and a show (that I can just sit and watch)... and then the only real walking/activity would be to/from our hotel room and the venue, poker tables, or restaurant.

Do y'all think this is doable at 4wpo? Or should we nix it and aim for a weekend away another time? THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING UP TO NOW AND BEYOND!
