How to completely reset my new hp laptop? Read body for more info.

I got a new laptop(hp) for school and was setting it up. It recognized me as an existing user as was like “you can set it up as a new or existing user! Here’s the feature… blah blah blah” I clicked continue because there was no “cancel” option, and figured it would be on the next screen. Wrong! It started syncing that new computer to my gaming laptop. I quickly clicked the “cancel” button, and then clicked the “load more options” or wtv button where I was able to find the “no thanks” option (why tf was it so hidden??). Despite all this, some of my files as well as my one drive ended up transferring over anyways. I tried to factory reset it, but all it did was get stuck at “100%”. Where do I even go from here?
