Would You Take This $50,000 Business Funding Offer?

A business needs $50,000.
They’re offered:
Funding: $50,000
Total repayment: $67,500
Term: 7 months
That’s $17,500 above the amount borrowed over only seven months, before considering any additional fees.
But there’s more to evaluating the offer than simply saying “$17,500 is expensive.”
Why does the business need the $50,000?
If $50,000 lets the company purchase inventory that generates $100,000 in additional profit, that’s a very different situation from borrowing $50,000 just to cover ongoing losses.
I’d want to know:
What is the money being used for?
What cash flow will it generate?
How frequently are payments required?
Is there a prepayment benefit?
Could a term loan, LOC, equipment financing, or another option accomplish the same thing for less?
Would you take this offer? Why or why not?
