TIFU by thinking I was going to die after taking edibles

S

Note: I'm tired and this is not a very interesting or well written story.

A few days ago I did edibles for the first time. I ate two since they were really small portions, and I knew that the person who made them puts a really low dose on each one so she can have more than one. Who in their right mind would spend hours baking homemade butter cookies and only have one? It made perfect sense to me.

After something like an hour, I started feeling like some unseen force had grabbed me by the shoulders and was trying to lift me up. After a few more minutes, every second felt like I was using all of the energy I had in me just to stay connected to reality, or trying to wake myself up from a dream, but it wasn't exactly something I haven't experienced before while sober, it was just a lot worse than usual.

I began walking in circles, just cause I like doing that, so I figured I had to know what it was like while high, and then I began to hear my heart beating faster. So, I decided it would be better if I lay down. Then I lost all sensation from my legs, and kept having to check if they were still attached to my body.

I wanted to use my phone to search if I was dying, but just thinking these thoughts felt like doing math in my head, and I couldn't focus my eyes because of prismatic shapes opening and closing on top of what was actually there.

Ultimately I accepted my fate, and made peace with the fact that this could be how I die, because God knows there was no chance I was going to call an ambulance for myself, and even less have someone else do it for me. Then I had a 12 hour nap and felt amazing afterwards.

So to me, the only fuck up that day was convincing myself that I was somehow going to suffer a slow and painful death after odding on edibles, when I could have been enjoying the effects instead. It really was the only thing keeping it from being a 10/10.

TL; DR: did edibles for the first time.
