Boyfriend disrespected my fav restaurant

My boyfriend and I (29 M&F) were trying to figure out where to eat and I suggested my favorite restaurant. I go there all the time and I already knew exactly what I wanted to order.
He immediately goes, “I don’t even know why you like that place. It’s not that good.”
I was like ??? excuse me
I asked him what was wrong with it and he basically said the food is overrated and he would rather go somewhere else. I told him he doesn’t have to like it, but he doesn’t need to disrespect my favorite restaurant either.
Then he started laughing and said, “It’s a restaurant, not your family.”
So obviously I told him maybe we shouldn’t be together if he’s going to talk about my favorite restaurant like that.
He thinks I’m being dramatic and says I can’t possibly be serious. I mean… I’m not saying I’m actually going to break up with him over a restaurant, but I also feel like he needs to understand that there are consequences for saying things like that.
