Conflict Pages Not Appearing on Mac?
Is anyone else still able to see conflict pages on Mac? Especially on the most recent versions?
I noticed some weird merge behavior a few weeks ago, where I lost some content I'd typed on one Mac after I sync'd. It happened again yesterday, when I did some extensive editing on a notebook on my MacBook during a flight, but the WiFi wasn't working. When I landed and sync'd, some of the work I'd done was lost.
In both cases, I still see the conflict pages on my iPhone, which is annoying because you can't access them there, so it's stuck that way. Luckily, I discovered that they're still visible on windows, so I was able to save my data from them and clear up the conflict.
This is happening across multiple of my and my colleagues' Macs, so it doesn't seem to be an isolated issue. I'm really hoping it's just a bug and they're not being retired.
I have always worried that conflict pages would one day be the victim of some bright-spark PM who didn't understand professional software use and figured the "elegance" of a "smart" merge was more desirable than preventing data loss. Not to mention, they'd be able to cut the maintenance budget for that feature. It is true that conflict pages don't "feel modern," but I value productivity over simpleness.
