Small quantity test tinctures.

I'm practicing tincture making with small amounts of plant material and alcohol.

I do have a large press for larger amounts of material but for these smaller amounts I bought a potato ricer to squeeze out the tincture.

As I'll need to wrap the plant material in cloth to filter out the plant particles, I'm hoping to prevent the tincture being absorbed by the cloth by wetting the it with water first.

Is there a better way?
