First UTI - Am I freaking out too much?

Hi all, I got my first UTI yesterday. My symptoms were cloudy urine, a few days ago is when I started to notice my urethra hurt after I did pee, but what I should have noticed first (and I didn’t) was the different smell in urine - I am on another medication and O thought that it would have made my urine smell different.

I did go to urgent care yesterday and the doctor did prescribe me antibiotics (Nitrofurantoin) and I have been drinking more water and taking cranberry supplements. My main worry is that this will turn into a kidney infection but i have no symptoms of pain in the kidneys, I think. Sometimes when I squat or bend in a weird way I get a sharp pain in my lower back just above the hip.

No signs of high temp, fever, vomiting, chills and or nausea have occurred. I started taking the med at around 8PM last night. I am also on my period too so that doesn’t help me panicking at all.

Should I be too worried?
