Is a steam machine worth it for me

Would a Steam Machine be worth it for me?
I’m considering getting a Steam Machine, but I’ve heard that the performance isn’t that great compared to a regular gaming PC. For me, though, I’d mostly be playing older games like Max Payne 3, GTA IV, and maybe some friend slop games with friends.
I already have a PS5, which I use as my main gaming system, so the Steam Machine would more or less be a secondary system. I also can’t really fit a PC in my room, and I prefer gaming on a TV rather than on a monitor.
So, would a Steam Machine make sense for my use case? Or would the performance/price make it not worth it, even for older games?
