\- this is my first reddit review, but i have been attempting to unprofessionally review things on my own for the last couple of years. Any feedback is always appreciated!

Anyways - let's get into it.

Chief Alchemist Reserve
Age/Type: 19yr KSBW
Finish: Mizunara
Proof: 115.0

Nose-
Initially greeted by Sandalwood, fresh dark caramel, and homemade German chocolate cake. Underneath these i find sweet mahogany, pipe tobacco, and a ginger/wasabi type spice that is umami. This is not near being over Oaked at all.

Palate-
Initial sip leads heavily with more sweet sandalwood, dark chocolate cake frosting, and flakey barrel char. Subsequently i find shredded coconut and gingersnap cookies. My third sip i dig for any nuances - this yields dried tobacco leaf, caramel pie filling, and baked pie crust. This is unbelievable.

Finish-
Barrel char, stone fruits, and tobacco lead in here for me, but quickly diverge into Samoa Girl Scout cookies, ginger, and near burnt vanilla. A very long finish that keeps on going. Much further than the proof would indicate. This has a slightly drying effect on the palate but it isn't over packed with oak or tannins. Very balanced and very memorable.

Mouthfeel-
Viscous and oily but not overly so - expected for the high age + watering down done to proof this at 115. This is perfect for this offering. Exactly what i want.

Overall this is one whiskey that absolutely matches what i look for on the palate / preference of profile. I won't rank this but I say decide for yourself and buy what you like!
