Old Villans

I was looking through my database of ex-villans to see who were the oldest players still at it.

Assuming Gareth Barry and Michael Standing arent turning out for Hurstpierpoint this season (havent seen them mentioned), it again falls to Sean Dillon, now in his 24th season of senior football, aged 43, who is still starting at Montrose. He was on Villa's books as far back as 1999.

The next oldest is mighty Moustapha Salifou, aged 41; who is not only turning out for TKSV Donauworth in the A Klasse Nord 2, but he scored last week as they got their first win of the season.

Next, ticking the box of "actually played for Villa and still playing professionally", kind of, is Tom Heaton, 40.

Old Unc Adomah is still going at 38, definitely still playing proper football and having played for Villa.
