Does Toni Kroos have the best farewell season in all of football?

What I mean by farewell is that the player retires after that. Not even switching clubs counts or anything.

I think yea but my football history has been shaky since been quite a looong time since I was actively researching about it.

But given how most players have a steady downfall, even the greats and how most of them join easy leagues (messi to Miami, ronaldo to al nassr, I think pele also had a similar trajectory).

With Kroos, what makes his final season so astounding was how impactful he was. Germany is buns right now but he pretty much carried them in euro 2024 and they only lost due to a controversial...ahem cucurella handball(but it's fine now lol).

Madrid's midfield was a weak point and his departure made it very clear.

He was also top 5 best midfielders in that season(even an argument he could very well be the best). Bellingham, Rodri were the ones who can be argued but I don't remember any other midfielder in the level of Kroos besides the aforementioned.

Not to forget the accolades he won with both laliga and UCL and also won 6th champions league.
