Should League have a limited blocked list just like Dota 2? + Thoughts on Honor system
Context:
I just played a game (well, two) where I got paired with a toxic Hwei mid. He spent all game typing instead of playing and blaming his team (mainly me) whenever he died to ganks -which happened plenty of times- even though I was tracking and pinging the enemy jungler the entire time. I muted, reported, and ignored him for the rest of the game because there was nothing else I could do. Bad luck, it happens.
But what happens next game? Take a guess. RIGHT! I get put on the same team with him AGAIN... The cycle repeats, but this time he also goes AFK in base. I report him again, and finally I get an instant feedback report saying he was penalized for AFK (he probably just got a warning). What do I get in return? Autofill protection for the next two games, yayyy! Just what I wanted!!
Aren't you all tired of these situations? I only played two games and I already don't feel like playing anymore for today.
End of context
Now I want to ask you: shouldn't Riot implement an avoid list like Dota 2? Maybe it's the right call with voice chat just around the corner. They could make the most out of the Honor system (or even add Honor 6), where high honor lets you have an avoid list AND voice chat. I don't know if they've talked about this already. You could get a warning that you're about to play with an avoided player and choose whether to dodge or play. Maybe it could even show the name so you remember why you blocked them. Maybe they were just extra annoying in chat and you don't care, or maybe you remember them running it down and griefing often, so you just decide to pass. I honestly don't think queue times would suffer that much.
Also, I came up with one extra question while writing this: do you think the Honor system is actually useful? I'm Honor 5 on both of my accounts and I feel like I get nothing out of it. I'm pretty sure most of you are Honor 5 anyway.
