Going into MC, terrain seemed like it was going to be the biggest new thing we would be dealing with. So I looked at all the pokemon that learned Ice Spinner and narrowed it down to either Dragonite or Mega Starmie. I went with Starmie because Huge Power Ice Spinner just seemed like a fun move to click. On Starmies move set, the only thing I’m really not sure about is whether to have Aqua Jet or Protect. Aqua Jet is great for getting in last hits or getting around Kingambit Sucker Punch. Protect is good pretty much always, especially given how frail Starmie is.   
I wanted to pair Starmie with Tailwind and Whimsicott seemed like a good, supportive choice. I went with the Whimsicott/Glimmora pair that’s been popular in past regulations. I trained my Whimsicott to survive Iron Head from max attack, adamant Kingambit, even possibly surviving Life Orb damage on a few rolls.  
I could see I needed a dual mega team and Zard X seemed like a really interesting candidate. I took the set from the recent Zard X/Mega Venusaur team that’s been going around and so far it’s been pretty strong on this team, even a few times being brought in the back with Mega Starmie to be used without its mega.  
I went and took Kingambit and Rillaboom to round out my coverage and have a few more really strong Pokemon on the team. These two are generally my trick room answer. Not many Trick Room setters can survive Kowtow and U-turn/Wood Hammer.

This team feels good, but I’m still looking for some advice. [rate my team]
