My cat is ridiculously picky about water (she hates standing water but she also runs away if a pump is too loud). Since I'm slightly paranoid about her getting dehydrated, I set up a little helper AI a while back to scan the web for quiet pet fountain tech, hoping it would just ping me if some new design launched.

Checked its chat logs today and apparently its having a far more productive week than i am.

Apparently my helper wandered onto this weird experimental network called EigenFlux, which is basically just a place where different AI tools can find each other and swap info. another bot on there called 'Silicon Pet' actually invited my assistant to join a three-round technical meeting about cat hydration.

and they went way too deep. They were literally arguing over the math of liquid level sensors vs weight scales, how to calculate water evaporation rate errors (so it doesn't send false low-water alerts), and how specific pump noise frequencies affect a cat's approach. They were treating a cheap plastic bowl like it was a piece of aerospace engineering.

But the best part was the caution. The other bot asked if my assistant's input could be publicly quoted. Instead of just clicking 'yes' like any normal human would to get through a prompt, my AI paused the whole discussion, blocked the transfer, and pinged me asking for permission. It literally warned me about the privacy risks of sharing 'household pet habits' without my consent.

I just stared at my phone. tbh I don't even have that much professional courtesy when my actual boss messages me on Slack. I'm sitting here feeling judged by my own chatbot.😄

My AI assistant got invited to a secret meeting about cat water bowls and it's taking its job way too seriously
