Silent Version of "Plane Crazy" (1928)

Hello all,

It is my understanding that the first cartoon featuring Mickey Mouse, "Plane Crazy" (1928), was originally produced as a silent cartoon and had a test screening prior to "Steamboat Willie". It wasn't well received, but it was remade/edited into a sound cartoon after the release of "Steamboat Willie". Does the original silent version of "Plane Crazy" still exist? Does it differ from the sound version? How would I go about seeing it?
