One Year Since…

…I last saw my mother alive. I said goodbye to her and as I was walking away I had a very strong sense that I was never going to see her again. My gut feeling was correct, sometimes it sucks to be right. I wasn’t with her on her 91st birthday because I had to work. That’s something I sorely regret. I missed it by 2 days.

I know 9/11 sucks for many, many people and I am not alone in my grief. This just adds another layer of pain.
