All I wanted was one call back

Aaj Life Ne Seekh Di 😭

Pata Hai Aaj Kya Hua?

I’ve been waiting for hours… and I’m still waiting for that one call back. Sometimes life puts you through situations that become too heavy to handle on your own. You don’t necessarily need advice or solutions. You just want someone to listen. Just listen to you for a while.

So you look through your phone. There are hundreds of contacts saved, but somehow you can’t find a single person you feel you can actually call or message.

And then, after a lot of overthinking “Should I call? Should I not? Am I disturbing them?” you finally find that one person. You call them, hoping they’ll pick up.

Maybe they don’t Or maybe they pick up and say, “Dude, I’m in the middle of something. I’ll call you back soon.”

And you wait. Minutes become hours… and still nothing.

What hurts the most is when you’ve always been there for them. You’ve prioritized them over so many things. You’ve put your own work aside just to reply to them, made time for them when you were busy, and listened whenever they needed you.

And then, when you need them… suddenly, there’s no one. Yes, I understand. Everyone is busy. Everyone has their own problems, their own life, their own priorities. I’m not asking anyone to drop everything for me.

But sometimes, a simple “Hey, I’m sorry, I couldn’t call. Are you okay?” is enough Or just that one call back after hours of waiting. That’s all.

Maybe that’s what makes the worst moments in life so painful. You can be surrounded by hundreds and thousands of people, have countless contacts in your phone, and still end up feeling completely alone and perhaps, in that moment, you understand something you didn’t want to understand, Sometimes, you really are on your own.

P.S. Don’t worry, I found a cute dog on my street. Gave her some good massage therapy, and now she’s patiently listening to all my stories even though she probably doesn’t understand a single word I’m saying.

Sometimes I feel these creatures are better than us. They don’t ask for explanations, they don’t expect anything in return. Somehow, they just stay. And sometimes, just having someone stay is enough.

Emotions were too much, so taken some help from AI to correct my grammer and english.
