Grandpa sent this text message to our grandchildren group chat to remember 9/11

“Some of you were not born and most of you were very young when it happened. Grammie and I had taken your great grandma to the dentist that morning. On the way home the radio said that an album had dropped. At that time I thought it was 50 Cents “Curtis” and didn’t realize what was happening. We turned on the tv at your great grandmas house and saw the 106 & Park “Clash of the Titans” special and realized the world as we knew it was about to change forever. It was a beautiful day and I heard things that I will never forget and I hope and pray that all of you can experience something like it. I also saw America come together as one and showed why we are still the greatest nation in the world. I hope all of you can take a moment to thank god you were born in this country and live in freedom that many people don’t. God bless all of you and I love all of you very much”
