I met a couple stocking their booth at an antique mall, so I asked if they had any marbles.

They gave me an answer I've heard many times. Yes, we do! But at home, and idk anything about marbles so 🤷‍♀️

I told them I was definitely not an expert but I'd be willing to take a look!

Surprisingly they took me up on my offer! Most times I think people are worried about being scammed, so understandably a lot of people aren't interested lol

And even more surprisingly they actually had some good marbles! I identified some, and gave some information that they were very receptive to.

They invited me over to look at them in person after I told them the angle of the photos made it hard to get a proper ID on a lot of them.

So I crossed my fingers that they weren't murderers, and went over!

We had a nice time talking about marbles, other glass, and thrifting!

When all was said and done they offered me all the marbles for free. I of course initially declined, and I tried offering to just take 1 for the help, and I tried to buy them--but they were very insistent.

They said it was sweet of me to help, and that they would be happy to see them go to someone who would appreciate them.

Plus they were a little bit overrun with years of items they'd collected, so it's not like they were lacking inventory for their booth.

Anyways just wanted to share bc I thought they were nice marbles and a nice story!
