FB got Hacked {Maybe} Tricked AI bot with a different message,-after 41 days of trying about everything got recovered within Minutes!

Backstory: I got hacked July 30th, 2026 unfortunately I followed instructions of a Phishing email from Meta that my business account is in violation, I need to log in etc, got hacked within minutes I had unauthorized log ins, Hackers apparently changed my personal info (age?) they tried to appeal and it failed and I got Permanently Disabled no chance for appeal I didn't even get to download my files- since my Instagram was linked it was taken down as well. I was in shock to say the least. I was thankful my business page with 6.1 K followers was still up and ok, but my payment methods were compromised as well, thankfully my bank was right on it and blocked further charges. My account was registered in 2009 so lots of memories and photos (which I have on my PC), but still I wanted my account back. also my business page was now without primary account. I was able to make a new FB and Instagram account and had limited access to my business page, I got all accounts including my business "Meta Verified" I did a lot of reading and research here, learned through all the post since I am not at all tech savvy so I appreciated and encouragement here.

1. I filed a claim with AG of PA to my surprise I got a letter within 2 weeks I even had a phone conversation with the agent at the office of AG and they really seemed to care
2. Send a Demand letter with Legal Shield, but I was disappointed that the letter was missing a 14 day respond time and was missing more pressure from a Lawyer for Meta to respond. I seemed the letter was only a courtesy "suggestion" to Meta to respond, also my lawyer said if I would hear back from them it would not be before 8 month right now they are very overwhelmed with appeals-, My letter was received on August 18th by Meta in CA
3. Since the Hack, just about everyday I reached out to Support, first AI then I got Agents, some even called me, I barely could understand what they were saying very heavy accent and did not resolve the issue. One wanted to do WEBex see my screen which made me uncomfortable esp after a hack, again I was hopeful but no help. I kept on chatting and reaching out to Support about every day, Sending my proof of the hack, trying different approach, like I can't run my business page, I can't run ads my payment method was compromised. They send me links to recover my account but it was disabled and my email unlinked so that did not work. Each time I got a different answer, one time there is a 30 day unlink time between hacker and my account for security, after the 30 day I reached out, they said sorry review is over your account will stay disabled. Then they could not find my email linked to my account, Then they said it is in review, but it was denied, no evidence of a hack. A few days ago they said it is still in review I "May" get an email from the team. Literally I was going in circles and I felt like nobody heard my concern, I pretty much could recite my story of the hack in my sleep. The shock of the hack and loosing my old accounts kind of worn off and I managed with my new accounts got most of my important connections back, and I put the recovery time to next year Spring 2027 if at all. In the meantime I kept reading here on reddit in hopes to find new encouraging information.

Last evening I thought why not try this, so I got AI support, I already cancelled my Meta Verified subscription so I am not sure how this all worked still had it on my Instagram not sure if they work together?. I said I was hacked and now I am afraid that it will affect my other Meta verified accounts, faster than before I had a human agent I said "My primary account was hacked, then disabled due to hackers doing, I am afraid for my business page and other Meta verified pages (My new accounts) and now my business page is without a primary page. I was able to send a few screen shots which I had nicely in a folder prepared for my Demand letter. Had to wait 3-5 minutes I also told them I have been telling agents about the hack but nobody seem to care, Credit card was compromised as well, They came back I understand the urgency and importance to recover your account.

I thought that sounds a bit different than before.......I gave my disabled account ID/link I had to wait another 3-5 Minutes I also told them please not to confuse my old with the new made account. and they said They understand and the new account won't hinder the recovery. I had to give information of the day that my account was hacked, of course I had screen shots of this and all the unauthorized log ins. Another 3-5 Minute wait

Then I thought I am sure they want to give me a call like the other agents, but no to my surprise she asked for a email that was never used with Facebook. I already had one made and on "Standby" just for this. Next they send me a QR code for a Video Selfie, they confirmed my Identity and all of a sudden I had my accounts back.

I had to take out my temporary account out of my Meta account center since you are only allowed to have 1 but I could add my Instagram account.

6. If you asked me why it worked last night??? I have no idea. was it that I "tricked" the AI as suggested in the link? and by passed all lower lever support and went right to the person that could reinstate my accounts?

was it that my file was getting bigger and I got annoying to them? and they had all the info of the hack, maybe already started an internal review after receiving the Demand letter and the request from the AG of Pa? I have no idea, it will be a mystery for sure. All I can say I am tremendously thankful for everyone that posted their experience, and all I can say just keep trying don't loose hope and don't give up!
