Reckless Driving on record, need to rent car. Advice?
Idk where else to post this. Yes it was a DUI, got arrested a year ago, but got it brought down to a reckless due to it being my first (and hopefully only) offense.
I'm sure many of you have had the issue where you've needed a rental car for some event. I'm going across the country to Washington - where my charge is from - and need to rent a car for 3 days. I have no family that is able to lend me their car and my car up there is totally busted from an unrelated collision that was 1) not my fault and 2) I got no money out of.
I was thinking of making some calls to rental places in Washington but idk what company would be my best bet to ask if they even rent out to people with reckless driving on record from only 1 year ago. I understand that even if the answer is yes that I may be charged extra for one thing or another. Money's not the issue though, the idea of getting a car is. Not the end of the world if I can't get a car it would just make things much easier. The transit system is great enough in the area I'll be in.
Any leads? Any advice? Any experiences?
