2026 CX-5 is Godzilla next to a CX-30

I was at my Mazda dealer today getting one-year service for my '25 CX-30. In the showroom were a couple of 2026 CX-5s. I see CX-5s everywhere and a near neighbor has one, but when I saw the showroom models my first thought was "When did they get so huge?!". It turns out that the 2026 model size is in fact a good bit bigger, typical (and IMO sad) SUV inflation. The CX-30 hasn't changed dimensions to speak of since it was introduced, and if Mazda understands its market niche, hopefully it won't in years to come either.
