Problem with the gentleman universe

I loved the movie,

And loving the show…binged both seasons recently.

My only issue is I don’t feel any fear for the protagonist, he is written like a classic hero who always comes on top.

They could have benefited with game of thrones approach where anyone can die and anyone new can take over the “Empire”

Like at no point it feels even his brother can win over him.

There are so many interesting characters, each should have a knife and crown in their head.
