Just recently had this thought regarding Fantasy games, but when the protagonists have magical powers, or any superpowers in general, then why should they kill generic enemies?
Generic enemies usually are way weaker in terms of abilities from an in-universe perspective compared to the main protagonists of most of these games. As such, do those protagonists really need to KILL these enemies when they can, again, from an in-universe perspective, just subdue and neutralize these foes with their superior abilities without killing them?
Genuinely asking here, too; not tryna be a smartass. I just recently had this thought.
