If your friend decided to date your ex who's openly homopbobic, mysoginistic, racist, apolitical and anti-feminist, am I a bad person if I drop her?

My friend knows about my ex's personality and political stance since they've known each other for a year now (they became friends after we ended things). When me and my ex were together, I didn't know he was like that because he didn't show it at first. I ended things with him because I couldn't bear to be with someone so close-minded

I've talked to her about it, about how it's very uncomfortable to me that she's with someone with opposite beliefs and who treats human rights like an opinion. She told me that my ex is a good person and that we should give everyone a chance. I'm starting to conclude that maybe I was too harsh for ending things right away with my ex but I also can't handle being around people wih that midset. I already ended our friendship because I can't believe she CHOSE to be with someone like that. In my opinion, I did the right thing. But I need a second opinion.

Did I do the right thing? If not, where did I go wrong?
