25M, talk cold approaching (both online and in person) like I'm 5.
I was never too much of a social person, and even though I had my past relationships, I've been in a bit of a dry spell since May because of my ex. Now I wanna put myself out there again.
Thing is, all my relationships happened because we somehow met online and I never really was the one making the first move. So you see I'm in a bit of a situation here.
And mind you, the only reason is because I was blessed enough to be above average in terms of physique. The fates knew that if I will be unattractive I truly have no chance, so they threw me this bone. But it's absolute pain when you don't know how to use it.
Now I have to be honest. I always had a problem with porn and just now I do my best to escape it, day by day, but it's hard. But I'm trying. So this definitely shifted my view of women and the way I act overall. But I believe that part of the healing is to try and approach, at least soon enough.
I don't know the first thing about not coming off as a creep when it comes to cold approaching. I just say "hey... [insert generic greeting], just wanted to say you're really beautiful" or what? Once I get the ball rolling I like to think I'm a chill, down to earth man that you can talk to. It's just that initial ice break when we're total strangers that I struggle with.
Or do I make sure I look for some signals from her first? Some eye contact maybe? Smiles, casual laughs here and there, or what? When is the right time to jump the gun and ask for an insta, invite her out, etc. Walk me through it please. Thank you..
