Hi all,

Recently went through a breakup. The relationship had become very strained: my partner was exhausted by my insecurities, and over time he had also become increasingly reactive with me, leading to some fights (V of Wands). At the same time, he told me there is still a lot of love between us and that the breakup is painful for him too (IX of swords?). He has made up his mind on breaking up (ace of swords).
I’m aware that the breakup is still very recent and that I’m emotionally invested in the outcome and tarot as advised me to stand still.
Before doing this reading, I asked my spirit guides to step back from trying to comfort me. I wanted the reading to be as clear and honest as possible, even if the message was difficult to hear.

I used the Rider-Wait Tarot for this spread and because I know I may be biased toward seeing hope or reconciliation in the cards, I’d really appreciate your help, especially of the spread as a whole rather than isolated cards.

1. What is his emotional state regarding the breakup right now? Ace of Swords, I think this represents a firm decision, and the beginning of a new direction (no relationship)
2. What feelings for me are still present, if any?Nine of Swords, anxiety, guilt, distress, and pain surrounding the breakup.
3. What is weighing most heavily on his decision right now? Five of Wands, arguments, tension, and the feeling that our relationship had become exhausting...
4. How might his feelings evolve with distance and time? Page of Cups, softening, nostalgia, and a gentle reopening to some feelings?
5. What is the most likely trajectory between us if neither of us tries to force anything? The Sun, clarity? Peaceful resolution? Warmth?
6. What do I need to understand about the possibility of reconciliation without becoming attached to it? Temperance, pqtience, healing, balance, allowing things to unfold.

My initial impression is that the first three cards describe clarity/separation combined with guilt, distress and conflict, while the other three cards feel much softer and more healing: like nostalgia, clarity and peace.

I don’t want to automatically interpret that as "he will come back". I'm particularly curious about whether you would read the final three cards as reconciliation, peaceful closure, healing at a distance, or something else...

Thank you so much.
