Riding a Motorcycle to Work

Hello! I just wanted to ask how I can start with riding a motorcycle. I’ve had a license for cars and I’ve ridden bicycles, but I’ve never driven a motorcycle.

I was looking to get into riding a motorcycle to work since I’m fed up with having to book Angkas and Move Its to and from work everyday. Public transpo is also nearly non-existent where I come from.

So I just wanted to ask:
- Do I have to take classes for it?
- How often should I bring it to the maintenance? How much does it usually cost?
- What are some things I should know right away with motorcycles and the road as a rider?
- What is a good motorcycle to begin with? I’m 164 cm, 85 kg (Looking between a PCX, an NMAX, and a Burgman)
- What are the essentials, aside from a helmet and raincoat?
- How much should I set aside for fuel per week?
- I’m not a fan of counterflow and singit. Will this be a problem on the road?
- Is parking easily available in BGC?
- What should I be on the lookout for?
