As a Belgian, I will shortly introduce Theo Francken for you, our defence minister.
1) he’s is part of the NVA, the new flemish alliance. They are a separatist party wanting to split Belgium in two. They hold incredibly right wing policies, such as increasing the pension age, limiting migration, police investments, anti-drug policies, etc…
2) within this party he’s considered the most extremist person, often his rhetoric mimics the far right party Vlaams Belang
3) he was protested trying to speak at a university by students. He considered this response an infringement of his right to free speech.
4) he’s been investigated several times for political misconduct. Just this year he was caught sowing fear about russian drones flying over Belgian airspace to increase military spending.
5) he has been caught peeing in the street (pissboy)
6) He aligns himself with maga, has made homophobic, racist and generally disgusting remarks about any share of minorities
7) his party is aligned with Israel. In Antwerp (which has an NVA mayor) to this day the Israeli flag hangs at the town hall. This has been protested several times yet it still hangs.

How any of them can see what Francken is doing and celebrate it in any way is pathetic. Even if you were to hate Hasan, this man is really not a man you want to associate with as a ‘liberal’

Fungi celebrate Belgian rightwingers going after Hasan
