Cis girl said I was lucky because I dont get periods

So I (15 transfem) was walking to my next lesson with a girl who is actually very nice and kind to me and a friend of a friend, and she was complaining to my other friend about her period. Then she said to me "[name] youre so lucky, you get to be a girl, and you dont have to deal with periods]. I was genuinely stun locked for a second because this was so crazy, and then my friend (also cis) told her that she didnt think that it was very good, and I said briefly how having to deal with constant gender dyphoria actually sucked, but she just sorta stood by it. Like 20 seconds later we were walking into class and that was were it ended, but im still thinking about this because it was such a crazy thing to say. I genuinely wish so bad that I had periods, and wish I was cis, and hearing this supportive and nice girl say something so wild has genuinely thrown me. I just wanted to rant about this, since its crazy to think thats what she thinks being trans is like.
