Things to do this weekend in the Capital Region
Happy Friday! I hope the first week of school was fun and not too stressful. It's Sarah from the TU here with my weekly list of things to do. Check it out here: https://www.timesunion.com/preview/article/things-to-do-in-the-capital-region-this-weekend-17152071.php
Here are a few highlights:
- The New York State Museum is hosting guided tours of “The World Trade Center: Rescue, Recovery, Response” exhibit today and Sunday. The museum is the primary repository for artifacts recovered from the World Trade Center after 9/11, with around 4,000 pieces in the museum’s collection, plus “tens or hundreds of thousands” of sympathy materials. We published a story about it today here: https://www.timesunion.com/art/article/9-11-new-york-state-museum-history-22410658.php. And you can learn how to catch a tour of the exhibit here: https://nysm.nysed.gov/programs
- The Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Latham is hosting a Goodbye Summer Polish Food Sale on Saturday. Grab a seat under the tent or take some pierogi, sandwiches and more to go: https://bvmc.org/foodsale
- Stock up on oddities and more ahead of spooky season at the Albany Twilight Market on Saturday in Quackenbush Square. https://www.albanytwilightmarket.com/events
