New Las Vegas home DIY vs hire out?
I've gone down the rabbit hole of solar and wanted to find out what is the best approach for my home.
I'm fairly comfortable with DIY projects but I also don't want to DIY something for the sake of DIYing it if paying an electrician/installer for certain parts make more sense.
I'd like to lower my electric bill, have backup power for critical loads, be able to expand the system later, and possibly add batteries and more panels over time.
If plug-in solar was available here, I would start with that but since it is not, should I get a transfer switch, and solar generator setup with backyard panels. Or, pay for electrician to do a roof mount solar to grid tied inverter.
I'm not sure what the best course of action is.
