Noob needs help with first ever list: British 750 Pts

Hello comrades! I'm building my first ever list and am somewhat overwhelmed with the options available to me. I currently have the for King & country British and Canadian starter Army box with only a few models out together (officer, light mortar team, and PIAT team). It didn't come with the Bren universal carrier, so I bought one of those. I also have the Gurkha weapons teams blister pack. It has a sniper team, and a tank rifle team, and the light mortar team. This is for a local tournament with a variety of players, nations, and skill levels. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated!
