Gas Pain after Removal

Well, turns out my 2 straight days of vomiting this weekend was due to very early acute appendicitis. I just got it removed at noon today. Pain at the incision sites is barely existent, and really no lower stomach pain/gas at all. However, the gas pain in my sternum area is absolutely sob worthy and debilitating. Oxy and tylenol aren't really helping, and walking around/laying on my side both make it worse.

Anyone have recovery tips for getting that pain down to a manageable amount so I can attempt to sleep it off a bit? Recovery tips in general also appreciated.
