Just came back after years of trying RG but not getting it

3rd time picking this game up in 4 years; the first two times I just…couldn’t grasp the game. What am I doing? Whats the point? This time I actually feel like I get it; I’m traveling to different systems, scanning everything, looking for loot and renaming planets. It’s great fun!

So a question to you; how do YOU play? Do you go after bounties? Explore the cosmos? Smuggle contraband? I’m leaning towards anthropology; studying the flora and fauna, and learning the 3 languages. There’s something satisfying about approaching an alien and being able to tell if they are mocking you or not
