Screen Settings? (MGS1)

Just finished up MG1 and MG2, ready to dive into MGS! Just curious if there was any consensus on the screen settings in the master collection, specifically smoothing. I definitely want to play with pixel perfect and the CRT filter on, and I'm debating keeping smoothing on to emulate that CRT blur. What do y'all think is best?
