What to tell immigration officers when arriving to job hunt?
I'll be flying to Thailand soon on my passport's visa free allowance with the intention to job hunt in person, as that seems to be common advice to land a TEFL job. However, I am wondering whether I should be upfront about my intention to job seek and eventually stay long term (after getting the appropiate visa of course), or should I just state tourism (which I also lightly plan to do, but is not the main purpose). Usually I'd imagine immigration officers might not even ask anything, but given that it seems Thailand is moving towards stricter policies maybe there is more scrutiny now? Or is it just an officially acceptable use of the visa free allowance? It feels like I'm probably overthinking this, but better be safe than sorry. I'd appreciate any experiences or advice
