How far can you get with less than 45-50hrs per week? Tips for avoiding overtime?

Likely to get promoted to manager for the first time. I almost never work more than 40 hours per week at the moment. I am expecting and willing to bump that up to 45 or so.

I'm curious, is there a rule of thumb for "If you aren't willing to work X hours per week, no way you'll make it to Y level"?

Can I get to VP level on 45 hours per week?

For context: I work in tech

Also curious if anyone has tips for keeping your hours lower. I already started going to chipotle almost every day so I can work while I eat without needing to spend time cooking lol.
