Are white bags after Labor Day still a fashion no-no (USA)?

In the US, there’s a fashion rule about no white bags/shoes/pants/etc after Labor Day.

But I just rediscovered that I own a vintage Coach Regina bag (that I completely forgot about) and got really excited about it and want to wear it. But it’s approaching fall where I am and I’m worried that I will be committing all kinds of fashion no-nos by wearing a white bag during the colder months.

What do we think? Is this a no-no? Should I wait until next spring and summer and bring it out then instead?
