Anyone Else Caught The Local Subway Lying?
It's not bad enough a typical foot long costs $12-$15 dollars now for chemically treated lettuce, etc. I still like to get one every once in a while. But depending on whose running the local subway, they often lie about how much meat goes on a sandwich and other stuff. The subways around here are all owned by the same person. Literally 3 counties of subways owned by the same person. The person who owned them a year ago was a bit of a jerk and would very seldom take coupons. Then after a few years he did. The sandwiches were fine with the standard amount of stuff. You could even get extra veggies. I was ok with it when I could use coupons. Now he sold them off & the new owner replaced all the employees with folks from the home country. Now they lie about the amount of meat, they have been caught (verified by employees in the store they rent from) adding unauthorized tips after the fact, and are stingy with the veggies. They also did not take coupons. This town has 2 subways. One in town & one by the interstate. The one by the interstate now takes coupons (for now) the one in town does not. Go figure.
I just got a foot long subway club without ham. I got 4 pieces of turkey & 2 yes 2 pieces of roast beef. I have always gotten 4 of each and often the person will voluntarily (without asking) give me extra turkey because I did not want ham. A foot long club is supposed to come with 4 turkey, 4 roast beef, & 2 ham. I asked them, "only 2?". They said 1 roast beef on 6 inch and 2 on foot long. I had no choice but to accept it. They were so stingy about the veggies I had to keep asking for just a little more please. After eating my sandwich which felt like a whole lotta bread, I warmed up some mac & cheese just to to fill me up.
Am I the only one getting fed up with paying high prices and getting much less or being made to feel like I am in the wrong for asking for what I am supposed to be paying for?
