Guitar cord question

Does anyone else have an extremely difficult time plugging in an amp cord into their Charvel. I mean, like excessive force required to get it seated all the way? I’ve played dozens of guitars and have one that wants to be different. I took off the plate and it plugged in easier with the screws loose, but when tightened again, it was hard to plug in again. Unplugs easy and normal.
