everyone thinks it's perfectly fine and normal for a cis girl (or a trans guy who still has them) to say 'you're so lucky you don't have periods' to a trans girl

I dare them to say 'you're so lucky you can't have kids' to cis women who are involuntarily, irreversibly infertile for whatever medical reason, be it natural or as a result of medical treatment. But no, they'd understand that that would be cruel!

Society deeply stigmatises infertility in many ways, and we recognise that it can have an enormous psychological impact on someone, especially women, given that so much of our societal conception of womanhood is intertwined with motherhood (whether that's a good thing or not is another question). But when it comes to trans women it's like, nope none of that matters, what the fuck do you mean you wish you had a period, you're just a man with a fetish.

yeah the dysphoria and brainworms about not being able to get pregnant and have kids and be a real mother are hitting hard tonight. I don't think I'd be a particularly good mum anyway, I'm too fucked up and too autistic. But for some stupid reason I'm still sobbing because I don't even have the opportunity. Sorry to ruin your evening. Much love.
