Could she like me or is she just being friendly?

So, after trying to get my life together I started college again and on the first day of class this girl ended up asking if she could sit next to me and I said yes thinking not much of it. We shared the same table for a few classes. We changed classrooms and then we had this test and she sat next to me again and we made small talk before the test and even asked me to wait for her to finish the test so we can leave together which shocked me and we ended up talking for an 1 and a half about random stuff we liked in the library before we went into our next class together. I'm just confused if she's just being friendly or she could like me or not. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but what do you guys think? Also, her birthday is next week should I give her something or would that be too much? I have this bracelet I got during a trip with my family that has been sitting dust and thought that could be fine, or should I just offer a snack and play it casual?
