I’m Confused About Boundaries With Guy Friends ( if it is halal anyways)
My best friend has a guy friend who is also my neighbour. He became friends with me too, and since her friends are also my friends, we all started hanging out together.
The thing is, yesterday we went out to play a sport near my house and his house. After some time, my best friend left, but I decided to stay and finish the round which took like 10 minutes. Keep in mind that we weren’t alone or in a private place because there were other people around playing sport too.
I asked him to show me how to shoot properly because he’s really good at this sport. He eventually showed me, but while he was teaching me, he started getting closer to me and touched my hand to demonstrate the correct position. After a bit I asked him to stop because I didn’t feel comfortable, and he respected that and stopped.
Personally, I don’t think he had any bad intentions, but I still feel like I might have committed a sin. I also don’t like the fact that I’ve been talking to guys more recently, even though it has only been in a friendly way.
So, I have a few questions:
What should I do about this guy and my other guy friends?
Should I distance myself from them, especially because I feel uncomfortable with how much I’ve been talking to guys recently?
At the same time, I feel like friendships between girls are already quite rare at my school, so I don’t want to isolate myself socially either.
Did I commit a sin yesterday by letting him teach me the sportand by him touching my hand before I asked him to stop?
