I was today years old when I realized Interstellar is The Odyssey in space.

Mr. Nolan really has a thing for fathers leaving home on a years-long journey and leaving their families in disarray, realizing they’ve probably made a mistake, making devastating pit stops on islands/planets, spending years trying to get back, realizing the sea/space people were themselves the whole time, then when they get back so much has changed that they leave again…..I like the space version better.
