What are your favorite C-beauty brands?

Everything is getting too expensive for me y'all!

I've noticed that C-beauty brands (i've mostly looked into lippies and makeup stuff) are cheaper in general. I'm looking for skincare/makeup gems (i am black tho, with combination skin and hyperpigmentation) on yesstyle.

I've also been wondering why C-beauty brands aren't talked about as much as korean or even japanese brands. Is it about quality? I went to hong kong this year and bought a lippie for dirt cheap and i honestly couldn't see the difference with a more expensive option. I was told I'm compromising my safety but idk about that? It does seem a bit prejudiced to think that way or am i missing something?
